“Buffalo Stance” is Swedish rapper/singer Neneh Cherry’s debut and breakout single. The song reached the top 10 in eleven countries worldwide, including peaking at #3 in the UK in late 1988, and #3 again in the US six months later. It remains her biggest solo hit in both countries and is considered her signature song, known for successfully “blurring the lines between hip-hop, pop, and dance” at a time when hip hop was first reaching the top few positions on the Hot 100.

The song was derived from the 1986 track “Looking Good Diving with the Wild Bunch”, which was the B-side to the Stock Aitken Waterman-produced single “Looking Good Diving” by the duo Morgan-McVey. On that b-side, Cherry rapped over the instrumental of the A-side. Later, with production help from Bomb the Bass’s Tim Simenon, the song was reinvented as Cherry’s debut single.

This remix was commissioned by Lemon, to give a balearic summer vibe to the classic 80's track. Good god, Lemon...
